It's my first lesson attending the elective module today, "Appreciating Cross Cultural Difference".
I'm quite satisfy with the SP education system actually, looking into social matters, my elective had a class of about 30 people, ranging from year 1 and year 2 students. Which means that it's time we get social and know friends from other school of diplomas and even the year 2 students. We attended the same elective with year 2 people. Surprise that we actually took the same elective as one of our seniors which we never communicate before since we were enrolled to sp. I was surprise that i waved to her and say "hello" HAHA! i can't imagine that cos i'm sort of anti social ppl. Talk to me and i talk to you.
The elective is BORING! very theory based. It made me realise how i love creative media design so much because it's not abt theory at all, it's about design and creativity. In the whole long hour, the australian teacher was talking non stop, asking questions like What other countries see singapore as? arrogrant and stuff. There's one joker kept on raising unnecessary questions like " what do we do if we respect the people in the other countries but they dun respect us?"
and something tragic happened after the elective. the building that we were attending were under renovation, piles of tiles and metal sheets were lying everywhere on the floor. My senior wearing her sandals accidentally kick onto those big metal sheets lying on the floor, the impact was great and i could hear it. I've never realise it would be so serious, her toe got a deep cut which is near to the nails, the most sensitive area, she was bleeding away while trying to walk and my friend and i stop her and pass her a plaster. It was terrible and it is so heart aching to see her walking slowly with blood dripping out of her toes. I understand that she was actually too shy to ask for help cos yea we just knew from tt elective course. I could feel the pain that she was having from her eyes but she keep on tolerating infront of us.
Anyway, i'm very excited abt next week~ wakakakak!
